Of 147,181 square kilometers area of Nepal’s Republic, 18 percent is protected as national parks, wildlife reserves and conservation area. From the low land of Terai, some 150 meters from the sea level to the tallest peak of the world, Mount Everest also fall within these protected areas of Nepal.
An array of flora and fauna found in these varying topographies from tropical to arctic (Terai, Mountains and Hills) is what makes Nepal also a very fascinating ecotourism destination.
Of these protected areas Royal Chitwan National Park which is also the most visited area by tourists hosts the endangered one-horned rhinos, the rare Royal Bengal Tigers and varieties of flora and fauna. That apart, it has also been made possible to observe and enjoy all these nature’s gifts with minimum efforts and that too without interfering with the natural harmony.
Nepal in a true sense can boast of some of the real jungle safari destinations. Go deep into the jungle on an elephant back or in a 4-wheel jeep drive, or you just take that nature walk, you will have plenty of opportunities to observe wild animals in their natural habitats. Take canoe ride in the Jungle Rivers or just go around bird-watching or just take village tours and explore the ways of people, you will enjoy all these activities to the fullest, guaranteed.

8-day Chitwan National Park Jungle Safari Package
Day 01: As you arrive in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu tour-you will be taking tours of Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swoyambhu Nath Temple and Patan.
Day 03: Part Kathmandu- part Bhaktapur tours- Boudhanath, Pashupatinath and Bhaktapur Durbar Square and the places of interests in vicinity.
Day 04: Kathmandu-Chitwan, drive for 4 hours. As you reach you can start your activities right away – you can go for an elephant – back safari tour to explore wildlife and to observe the one-horned rhinoceros, deer, monkeys, wild boar, bison, sloth bear, leopard the Royal Bengal tiger too if lucky enough. These activities last for 2-3 hours.
Day 05: Rising early is a must this day as you will be going for a Nature walk, about 6.00 AM. You will go around into the jungle on foot for about two hours and come back to your camp or resort at about 8 for breakfast.
After breakfast you can either take an elephant ride if you haven’t done so the previous day or just pick other activities that interest you until lunch.
After lunch and some rest you start canoeing. This ride down the Rapti River will allow you to view aquatic birds and animals in the banks.
The evening starts with Tharu stick dance followed by dinner. Local Tharu farmers will gather up and perform their traditional dances with sticks.
Day 06: Start your day with a lovely cup of coffee or tea. Then go for bird watching, come back and have breakfast around 8. After breakfast, drive across villages and explore and exchange cultures and lifestyles. Have lunch around 1 PM and choose your activity on your own or just relax.
Day 07: Chitwan- Kathmandu (4 hours drive)
Day 08: Transfer to airport as per your scheduled flight. Tour ends with sweet memories.
